Module 4 – Right to Work Checks

 

You must confirm that the candidate is legally allowed to work in the UK. Proper checks prevent illegal working and protect the company.

You must:

  • Check original documents or digital status
  • Use share codes if required
  • Check expiry dates
  • Keep evidence securely

You must not:

  • Assume based on nationality
  • Discriminate
  • Ignore visa restrictions
